The Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians was founded in 2001 as a not-for-profit member association. We represent and support skin health professionals all over Australia, using their skills and knowledge in varied clinical settings. The ASDC works to increase awareness of skin health and the expertise and role of Dermal Clinicians and Therapists.
We advocate and guide best practices to promote public safety for those seeking skin health services.
The ASDC board members are all dedicated Dermal Clinicians with expertise in clinical practice, education and research.

DERMAL CLINICIANS, WHO ARE WE?
Dermal Clinicians are allied health professionals with expertise in skin health. We are evidence-based, independent practitioners. You might find us working in private practice, community health settings, medical specialty areas as well as within hospital outpatient clinics.

The Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC) is recognised as the trusted representative body for Dermal Clinicians & Therapists. The ASDC advocates for and provides support in ongoing education for our member network and professional community. The ASDC sets standards of care and best practice to ensure safety and quality in the provision of dermal therapies.

The skin is very important for health and wellbeing. It is our first line of defence against the outside world. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel comfortable in their skin. We can provide education and management strategies if you are experiencing skin problems.

GOVERNANCE OF THE ASDC
The Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians is a not for profit professional body representing Dermal Clinicians and Dermal Therapists. We advocate for best practice and public safety for those seeking skin health services. The ASDC board members are all dedicated Dermal Clinicians with expertise in clinical practice, education and research.
THE PROFESSION & TITLES
The ASDC endorse titles based on ASDC membership category and the formalised qualifications required for entry into those categories. As these are not government protected titles it is important that you ask your Dermal Clinician if they have one of the ASDC recognised qualifications.
